Truck Window Tint Templates: Pre-Cut Patterns for Pickups by Cab Style

With pickups, the cab style decides the pattern. Here is how truck glass differs by cab, and the truck templates installers download most.

Truck window tint templates are vehicle-specific patterns for pickups, matched to the cab style: regular, extended (such as SuperCab, Double Cab or King Cab) or crew cab. Each pack covers the door glass for that cab and the rear cab glass, which may be a single pane or a sliding window. TintTemplates has 90 pickup truck templates, delivered as a ZIP of PDF files ready for cutting.

Key takeaways

  • 90 pickup truck templates, matched by cab style.
  • Regular, extended and crew cabs of the same truck use different door and rear glass.
  • Rear cab glass may be one pane, a centre slider, or a split power slider; the pattern follows the version listed.
  • Rear cab glass is nearly flat on many trucks, so it is one of the easier back glass pieces to install.

Cab style is everything

Manufacturers sell the same pickup with several cabs, and each cab has its own glass. A regular cab has two doors and no rear seat. Extended cabs add small rear doors or a short rear section with small windows; the names vary by manufacturer, such as SuperCab, Double Cab, Access Cab or King Cab. Crew cabs have four full doors. The listing for each template names the cab, and that is the first thing to check.

Bed length does not change the glass, so one template covers every bed length for the listed cab and year range.

Rear cab glass and sliders

Truck rear glass is usually much flatter than a car back glass, so it needs far less heat-shrinking. The detail is in the slider. A fixed pane is one piece. A manual or power centre slider has a moving centre section and fixed side sections, and installers usually cut separate pieces for each so the slider still opens. The product page describes which rear glass the pattern is for.

Fitment tips for trucks

  • Match the cab name exactly, not just the door count. Two different extended cab designs can both have four doors.
  • Heavy-duty versions often share cab glass with the light-duty truck of the same generation; check the listing year range.
  • Large front door glass on full-size trucks can be long; check it fits your roll width alongside other pieces.
  • Clean rear glass thoroughly around the slider frame; dirt in the corners is the most common source of edge lift.

The cutting guide covers nesting and cut settings for long pieces.
